I plan to travel to the great city of Abilene Texas for memorial day week. On the way I will drive thru Post Texas, and yes Post is the birth place of Post cereal. Cereal is longer made there,Post is also the home of two live stage shows you can see whenever. I will also drive past Snyder where the great actor Powers Booth was born. I will then leave the texas highway and continue my drive on interstate 24, from the road I will see the not so small town of Sweetwater where an annual rattlesnake round up is held. Yuck ! I see flat lands,catus,cows, cotton farms, windmills ,and oil rigs all of Texas. Like a quilt there is so many different textures to Texas. I love it .As they say you can take the girl out of Texas but you can’t take Texas out of the girl/woman.

My wife and I plan to take the kids to the beach later this year. My daughter is 10 and my son is 7. They’ve never seen the beach. We’ll probably go to South Padre Island, since it’s the closest to where we live in West Texas.

Mochi girl here,
I’m going on a road trip this weekend sort of…just driving to go camping. Not exactly sure where yet because Butterfield Canyon (the place we were going to go out in the Oquirrh Mountains) is now private property. Anyway, being a poor college student preparing for a camping trip I can always use free snacks. Plus I live in Salt Lake, and if I remember right you do too, so that would save you on shipping!

I am a broke graduate student that is going to have a hard time paying for gas on my road trip. I have to borrow a tent from my advisor and camp at free sites along the way. However, you can save me from the monotony of eating only PB&J!

I think random road trips are probably the best thing god ever invented. One of my top 5 trips ever is a road trip to Portland and Seattle. Even though by the end of the week long voyage we were sick of each other, it was awesome.

Oh, and I totally agree with the random stops. They are the keystone to a good road trip!

Oh, and pick me because I want to go to the Grand Canyon this summer and wife said the only way we can go is if I win this competition.

Sooo you and I both know how I love to eat and food is wayy too expensive on the road, and we seem to always fall for it…Zack has been away working in Texas for 2 weeks and he was told that he might leave again Monday for another trip when he already has to go back right after memorial day… fortunately he doesn’t have to leave and we might road trip it to Utah or Jackson, I love road trips cause I feel that is the time that Zack and I can bond the most. So this is why I feel I should win… and I liked your blog about Hostels the most, I was always curious about them and I loved reading about them in your blog. Keep em coming! I get some good tips from you! Love ya!
