Five Awesome Travel Gift Ideas
It’s that time of year again. I love the holidays and I love traveling to different cities for the holidays. My number one favorite is San Francisco. Ice-skating, Ghiradelli chocolate and not to mention the fabulous shopping and beautiful cityscape. Every year growing up my youth group would go caroling on the cable cars through the city, it doesn’t get better than that.
Speaking of the holidays, it’s time to start making our shopping lists. I have to admit I do enjoy shopping quite a bit and I especially like shopping for gifts for others. So I decided to help you out with your Christmas lists. I have compiled a list of five great gift ideas for the travel aficionado in your family.
1. Travel and Leisure Magazine- I love this magazine and it proudly sits on my coffee table and is changed out each month. I got a subscription for my birthday as a gift, which I thought was extremely personal and thoughtful. It’s full of beautiful photographs, travel ideas, and well-written articles. It serves as my inspiration. Although reading it does make me a tad antsy as I want to travel everywhere and anywhere.

2. The U-Pillow- Comes in so many different shapes, sizes, and materials but all has the same purpose, keeping your neck comfy on a flight, train ride, or car ride. I cannot tell you how many red-eye flights being stuck in the middle seat this pillow has gotten me through. Plus you can put it on your tray table and lay face down or put it against the window and lay against it. It has many uses.

3. Hotel Gift Cards- I hadn’t even thought about this idea until Reid suggested it. But some hotel chains such as Marriott and Hilton you can purchase gift cards. You can also use your hotel points to purchase rooms for others. All I know if I got a gift card in my stocking for a hotel stay I would probably poop my pants with joy.
4. iPhone Holder- Another tiny little gadget that is so simple yet such a life saver. Ever try to hold your iPhone or iPod to watch a movie for an entire three hour flight? It gets old, especially when trying to eat or drink.
5. Lap top case- a simple skin that can keep your lap top clean, safe and easily accessible. There are so many to choose from and they are all pretty similar. But someone who is so attached to their lap top like me and can’t leave home without it, this can be a practical and thoughtful gift.

What are some gift ideas you have for the travel fiend in your shopping list? I’d love to hear them as I have yet to write Santa!
