What’s In A Picture?
Pictures really are worth a thousand words aren’t they. They evoke emotions and express feelings that even the most well written essay couldn’t. I mean just look at this picture that Reid took in Peru of a small girl snuggling up to a llama. In your heart isn’t that everything you pictured Peru to be?
Or this picture we posted last week of my Grandad at the World War II Memorial in Washington DC. Can you just feel the emotion that screams from this picture?
How about this church in Nassau, Bahamas? A little eery, very much beautiful, and reverent all at the same time.
Capturing emotion and beauty is Reid’s major responsibility here at www.dottingthemap.com (besides write the SkyMall Madness series) and we think he does an excellent job. That is why we often update our flickr page with select photos from our journeys and have our picture of the day on the side bar. It’s to mainly remind us of the places we have been and experiences we have had but also to just show off his mad photography skills. Enjoy!
